The Strategy & Services' Corporate Support and Command Center Team provides our Whataburger Family Members with 24/7 direct-line and on-call services. Belarmino Castellanos is proud to lead a team that Protects the Brand and provides services that help enable Support System Teams to serve our Restaurants and Business to better serve our Customers, Community, and Family Members.
Examples include:
- Command Center (Incident Management Team) leadership on all restaurant business disruptions, including coordination support for our Business Continuity Plan
- Support Center (Contact Center) for 24/7 support services for all Family member needs, with primary support services for Restaurant Operations (tier 1 and 2 support for Restaurant Technology needs, MSC dispatching, triage/problem solving and/or escalation services for emergency issues and disruptions
- Corporate Services manage Procurement, mailroom, office reception, business travel, Fleet (company vehicles), vending machines, recycling program management, among other services
- Centralized communication to business leaders and Core Incident Management Team or Tier 1 Business Continuity Team members when crisis situations impact our Brand
Our team is skilled in working with each business leader to ensure that we provide a centralized business group that serves as a "One-Stop Shop" for urgent and/or critical business process support needs; problem management to prevent potential business disruptions; mitigate restaurant threats and risks in partnership with our business partners, and also providing our business with a comprehensive array of shared services that move the business forward with our customer-centric teams.
Belarmino obtained a BA degree in English and a background in Sociology, with additional certifications in Food Safety, and Restaurant Training Management Programs. Having worked previously at The DoubleTree Hotel, Motorola, and Luby's, I have been able to develop a variety of skills that have come in handy here at Whataburger, where I have served since 2000. Whether it's Customer Experience Management, Corporate University Programs, ISO or Six Sigma standards, or Business Continuity, Belarmino Castellanos has been blessed to learn from the best to be able to work with teams on complex issues to drive the business forward. “Bel” speaks fluent Spanish and can still remember some of the French he took at Kingwood High School and at The University of Texas at Austin.
Belarmino is married to Mary Ann and have 5 children.
His Whataburger All-time Favorite is the Patty Melt, but he tends to order a Double Meat Whataburger Junior with shredded cheese, sub mayo, grilled onions, and grilled jalapenos.
