Gloria holds the position of Senior Account Manager at Direct Travel, headquartered in
Dallas, Texas. Her primary responsibilities include implementing corporate travel
accounts, strategizing process enhancements, and implementing program
improvements focused on delivering cost-saving opportunities for clients.
With a wealth of experience spanning several years in the travel industry, Gloria has
worked on both the supplier and buyer sides of the business. She commenced her
career at American Airlines, spending eight years in their reservation center.
Subsequently, she transitioned to roles within Maritz Travel and American Express
Travel on the agency side before joining L’Hoist North America for a tenure of 20 years,
where she served as the HR Mobility Manager. Her responsibilities at L’Hoist included
spearheading a new relocation program, overseeing global immigration services,
managing the global travel program, and coordinating meeting and event services. Most
recently, Gloria held the position of Director of Travel and Meeting Services at Freeman
Company in Dallas, where she managed the corporate travel program, corporate card,
and immigration matters.
Gloria's engagement extends beyond her professional roles; she is deeply involved with
the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) on both global and local levels. Within
GBTA, she has held various leadership positions, including serving on the Board as
GBTA Direct Representative, President of the Chapter President Council, and as a
member of the Board of Directors. Gloria also served as President of the local DFW
GBTA chapter for four years then Chairman for four years. Prior to these roles, she
served as Vice President of DFW GBTA, as well as fulfilling the roles of Program Chair
and Charity Golf Tournament Chair. Her extensive industry knowledge has led her to
participate in the American Airlines Corporate Advisory Board and the Southwest
Airlines Influencer Board. Additionally, she is a member of the Employee Relocation
Council (ERC) and has obtained certifications offered through both ERC and GBTA.
